FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The intersection of President Ave and Davol Street northbound is set to be temporarily reconfigured starting January 8, 2024.

This change will take effect in order to perform essential utility work in the area and is expected to stay in place for four months, according to MassDOT.

The dedicated right turn lane from President Ave to Davol Street northbound will be out of service for the duration of the project.

Motorists will still be able to turn right onto Davol Street northbound or continue west to Davol Street southbound from the right-hand lane.

All pedestrians are asked to utilize the detour signage and cross Route 79 at designated temporary crosswalks.

The utility work will run 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the four month period.
