Traffic to be impacted by lighting upgrades on Braga Bridge

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) – The Braga Bridge is set to undergo maintenance later this week.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation says it will be updating the lighting on the bridge, which spans between Fall River and Somerset, Mass., as part of I-195.

Work is set for Wednesday, January 3 and Thursday, January 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, according to MassDOT.

Officials say there will be a left lane closure on I-195 eastbound in the affected area.

Police officers will be on scene to help direct traffic. Drivers should expect delays, reduce speed and use caution while traveling over the bridge.
