Coventry police welcome new K-9

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) — The Coventry Police Department welcomed it’s newest officer — a Boonefield Labrador comfort K-9, Jovie.

Coventry police posted a video on X, showing the new comfort pup in her beginning stages of training.

The police department announced that Jovie is currently training with an professional K-9 dog trainer in preparation to get her Comfort Dog Certification and will be sworn soon.
