Repeat petty Freetown criminal sentenced

FREETOWN, Mass. (WLNE) — A Freetown man well-known for committing petty crimes will serve two years in the Bristol County House of Correction.
37-year-old Brandan DeMoranville pleaded guilty to numerous charges related to five separate incidents that occurred in Freetown from Oct. 2022 through Sept. 2023.
The charges include:
-Two counts of possession of burglarious instruments.
-Two counts of breaking and entering into a vehicle or boat during the nighttime.
-Vandalism.
-Malicious damage to a motor vehicle.
-Trespassing.
-Larceny under $1,200.
-Breaking and entering during the daytime.
“The defendant is career criminal who has a history of breaking into people’s property and stealing. He needs to be kept off the street to protect the community,” said Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III.
