14 people displaced after apartment fire
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — 14 people were displaced after a fire destroyed a multi-family home on Balcom Street in Providence.
The home is described as a triple decker and sits on a dead-end road in Providence’s Elmwood neighborhood.
According to Providence Fire one child was transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital with minor injuries.
ABC6 News Crews on the scene say fire and smoke could be seen coming from the third floor of the home.
Fire officials say no other surrounding homes suffered any damage.
The Red Cross is on scene assisting those displaced by the fire.
It is unclear what may have caused the fire.
