List: School closings and delays, parking bans

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The return to the classroom on Monday was pushed back in some communities across Southern New England after the weekend snowstorm.

The following schools will be delayed:

  • Barrington Public Schools — delayed 1 hour, no a.m. Pre-K
  • Burrillville Public Schools — delayed 2 hours, no a.m. Pre-K
  • Chariho Regional Public Schools — delayed 2 hours, no a.m. Pre-K
  • Compass School in Kingston — delayed 1 hour
  • Coventry Public Schools — delayed 2 hours, no a.m. Pre-K
  • Cranston Public Schools — delayed 2 hours, no a.m. Pre-K
  • Cumberland Public Schools — delayed 2 hours, no a.m. Pre-K
  • East Greenwich Public Schools — delayed 1 hour
  • East Providence Public Schools — delayed 1 hour, no a.m. Pre-K
  • Exeter-West Greenwich Public Schools — No school in district, out of district buses 90 minute delay
  • Foster-Glocester Elementary and Regional Schools — delayed 2 hours, no a.m. Pre-K
  • Jamestown Public Schools — delayed 1 hour, no a.m. Pre-K
  • Johnston Public Schools — delayed 1 hour, no a.m. Pre-K at Graniteville
  • Kingston Hill Academy in Saunderstown — delayed, KARES Club starts at 8:30
  • Lincoln Public Schools — delayed 1 hour, no a.m. Pre-K
  • Narragansett Public Schools — delayed 1 hour
  • North Kingstown Schools — delayed 1 hour, no a.m. Pre-K
  • North Providence Public Schools — delayed 1 hour, no a.m. Pre-K
  • North Smithfield Public Schools — delayed 2 hours, no a.m. Pre-K
  • Scituate Public Schools — delayed 2 hours, no a.m. Pre-K
  • Warwick Public Schools — delayed 1 hour, no a.m. Pre-K
  • West Bay Collaborative in Warwick — Upper School delayed 1 hour, Primary-Horton delayed 2 hours
  • West Warwick Public Schools — delayed 1 hour, no a.m. Pre-K
  • Westerly Public Schools — No a.m. Pre-K

In Massachusetts, Seekonk Public Schools were delayed 1 hour, and there was no a.m. Pre-K.

The following Rhode Island schools will not return to the classroom on Monday:

  • Pawtucket Public Schools — Virtual learning day
  • Smithfield Public Schools — Closed
  • William M. Davies, Jr. Career and Technical High School — Closed

Parking bans in some communities also continued into Monday.

Parking bans in Johnson, Lincoln, and North Providence ended at 6 a.m. In Barrington, it will end at 7 a.m., and in Scituate, it will end at 8 a.m.

A parking ban remained in effect in Coventry and Cranston.
