Many schools delayed as Southern New England is hit with flooding, road closures

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Many schools were delayed — some even closed — after heavy wind-driven rain battered the region through Wednesday morning.
The following schools will be delayed:
- Chariho Regional Public Schools — delayed 2 hours, no a.m. Pre-K
- Coventry Public Schools — delayed 2 hours, no a.m. Pre-K
- Cumberland Public Schools — delayed 2 hours, no a.m. Pre-K
- Foster-Glocester Elementary and Regional Schools — delayed 2 hours, no a.m. Pre-K
- Johnston Public Schools — delayed 1 hour, no a.m. Pre-K
- Scituate Public Schools — delayed 2 hours, no a.m. Pre-K
- Smithfield Public Schools — delayed, no a.m. Pre-K
- West Bay Collaborative in Warwick — delayed 1 hour
Warwick Public Schools and Exeter-West Greenwich Public Schools were closed. West Warwick Public Schools will have a virtual learning day.
Exeter-West Greenwich Public Schools and The Greene School in West Greenwich were closed due to area flooding.
