State police said Route 146 was reopened at exit 5 after both the northbound and southbound sides were closed due to flooding and stranded vehicles.
State police also said flooding also impacted Interstate 95 at Thurbers Avenue and Route 10. The agency said for commuters to take a different route.
Cranston police warned drivers that Phenix Avenue at High Meadow Court, Fletcher Avenue, Elmwood Avenue at Wellington Avenue, Route 2 south at CarMax, Oaklawn Avenue south of the rotary, and part of Pippin Orchard Road were closed.
In Johnston, Memorial Drive, River Drive at Lafazia Drive and a section of Atwood Avenue was closed.
Officials said to never attempt to drive through standing water, as it’s unsafe.
