RIEMA shares important information on flooding
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency shared on X what to do in the case that residents need to report flooding damage to their properties.
Last night’s storm took a heavy hit on Rhode Island. RIEMA is encouraging residents to report any flooding damage to their local Emergency Manager for their city or town.
All businesses and residents looking to report flood damages from last nights strom should contact their local Emergency Manager for their city or town.

RIEMA also shared important warning information on monitoring severe weather, amplifying the difference between flood “watch” and flood “warning”.

The emergency management team also shared that some areas in Rhode Island have been issued a flood warning. Some residents have already been evacuated by boats and displaced into emergency evacuation facilities.
