PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence 6th Division District Court postponed court arraignments for 41 Brown University students arrested during a sit-in protest on Dec. 11.

According to the Brown Divest Coalition, the new arraignment dates are February 13, 14 and 15, pushed back from the original arraignment dates of Jan. 9-18.

The arraignments are in connection with the protest in Brown’s main administrative building, University Hall.

The students were demanding that Brown divest from companies facilitating the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

The group of students face willful trespass charges in the case.
