Johnston man arrested on felony drug charges

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – A joint investigation between Johnston and Providence Police Departments has led to the arrest of a 41-year-old Johnson man on drug charges.

 

Detectives arrested Hovannes Yagoubian Thursday evening at his residence in Johnston after executing a search warrant.

During the arrest, Detectives seized an undisclosed quantity of cocaine with an estimated street value of approximately $45,000 as well as over $17,000 in cash.

 

Yagoubian faces the following felony charges:

  • Manufacturing and Possession with Intent to Deliver up to 1 Kilogram of Cocaine
  • Manufacturing and Possession with Intent to Deliver up to 1 Kilogram of Marijuana
  • Maintaining a Narcotics Nuisance

Yagoubian was arraigned in Kent County District Court Friday morning.
