Owners search for pizza delivery man who saved their hair salon

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE): A mother and daughter are on a search to find the pizza delivery man who saved their hair salon. They say his quick actions stopped Glam II Salon and Boutique from getting damaged or even burned down.

“My neighbor across the street called me in a little bit of a panic. She said, ‘Everything is okay but I want you know the fire department is on the way to your salon because there was some type of brush fire,'” Nichole Bonollo, co-owner of the salon, said.

Nichole and her mother Michelle closed the salon Friday, so no one was there when a bush in the back of the building caught on fire.

The fire department came and it was already out by the time Bonolloa and her mother got there– all thanks to the actions of a stranger, according to the neighbor.

“She said when she saw the smoke, she came running across the street and there was a kid out of his car putting it out with a hose that we have in the back,” Bonollo said. “He said he saw the smoke when he was driving up the street, pulled into the parking lot, grabbed the hose and put it out. He just literally hopped back in the car and said I got to go finish delivering my pizzas.”

Their neighbor didn’t get a chance to see what type of car he was driving, but they are trying to find the stranger to give him the proper thank you they believe he deserves.

“I just really think this gentleman deserves a congratulations and thank you from us and just to know what he did saved our family business,” Bonolloa said.
