Gorgeous couple of days before next storm this weekend
Fabulous today and tomorrow with sun and temperatures running 5-8 degrees above average. Normal high is 38°. However, river flooding continues across the area. Fortunately, this breather from the rain is giving them time to continue to recede.
Mind you, the Flood Watch has been extended through Saturday at 7 p.m. Unfortunately, after enjoying this lovely weather, we’ll receive the impact of another storm. Powerful system is headed our way Friday night into Saturday. This additional rain may renew the areal, river, and coastal flooding.
Other Watches have been issued: Coastal Flood in effect Saturday morning through afternoon and High Wind Watch in effect late Friday through Saturday afternoon. Wind gust may be as strong as 60 mph. There’s still some uncertainty on the track which determines where highest rain amounts will be and flood risk. Conditions improve by Sunday and Monday with sun and seasonable temperatures as we keep an eye on the next potential system Monday night into Tuesday.
