Study launched to improve key Cranston intersections

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Cranston Mayor Kenneth J. Hopkins announced that two main city intersections will get needed upgrades.
Park Avenue and Budlong Road and Dyer Avenue and Cranston Street are the focus of initial studies.
Pare Corporation of Lincoln will be brought in to review the scope and details of the projects.
These reviews will include phasing, traffic flow improvements and traffic signals timing.
Pare will receive $92,225 for their work in the project.
“The Park Avenue and Budlong Road intersection is a critical part of Cranston’s major east-west roadway. We believe that this study will help improve the flow of the high traffic volume that utilizes Park Avenue every day for personal travel and commerce,” said Mayor Hopkins.
