Western Massachusetts plane crash victims identified

(WLNE) — The Massachusetts State Police have identified three people killed in a Greenfield crash Sunday.
The three passengers have been identified as William Hampton, 68, of Indian Orchard, Mass., Chad Davidson, 29, of Woodstock, Conn. and Fredrika Ballard, 53, of Southwick, Mass.
Ms. Ballard owned Fly Lugu Flight School and Mr. Hampton was a flight instructor at the school. Mr. Davidson was a student pilot at the school.
Police said the crash occurred around noon Sunday.
The plane involved in the crash was a Beechcraft 55 Baron Twin-Piston (Tail Number N7345R) owned by the Fly Lugu school.
It was located at approximately 12:33 PM Sunday in a clearing in the woods within the Leyden Wildlife Management Area in Greenfield.
The three occupants were declared deceased by Greenfield Firefighters and paramedics.
The three victims were the only passengers on the plane.
Police said the investigation as well as next-of-kin notifications are ongoing.
