Rhode Island FC releases 2024 preseason schedule

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — With its inaugural season on the way, Rhode Island FC announced its 2024 preseason slate of games Wednesday.

Several exhibition matches will be played in preparation for the regular season, which starts March 16 at Beirne Stadium at Bryant University.

The first-ever regular season game will pit Rhode Island FC against New Mexico United.

“Our players are hungry to compete as they continue getting to know each other, building team chemistry,” said Head Coach and General Manager Khano Smith.

We have put together a competitive preseason that we believe will prepare us to compete at a high level in our home opener on March 16.”

The Rhode Island FC preseason schedule is as follows:

-Feb. 7 vs Orlando City SC at IMG Academy
-TBD vs TBD at IMG Academy
-Feb. 13 vs New England Revolution II at IMG Academy
-Feb. 24 vs Bermuda Select Team at Bermuda
-Feb. 27 vs Bermuda Select Team at Bermuda
-TBD vs New England Revolution II at TBD
-TBD vs Providence College at TBD
