Woonsocket gas station robbed at gunpoint

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Woonsocket police said Thursday they were searching for a suspect after a gas station was robbed at gunpoint.

An ABC 6 News crew saw police outside the Gulf Express gas station on Park Avenue.

Police said a man in a hoodie and full ski mask robbed the cashier shortly after 11 a.m. and showed a gun.

The man took an unspecified amount of cash and fled.

There were no reported injuries.

The incident is under active investigation.
