Four-year-old Cranston boy shot in the head sent to rehab facility

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A four-year-old boy left in critical condition after suffering from a gunshot wound to the head in October has been transferred to a children’s rehab facility.
On Jan. 9, Shaina Badway, the aunt of the boy, shared that their beloved Ryder has been transferred to a Boston children’s rehab facility after 70 long days in the PICU.
Ryder suffered from a traumatic brain injury as the result of a gun that was misfired and shot him in the head on the morning of Halloween.
Through a miracle and intensive medical care, Ryder was able to pull through but still has a long road to recovery.
The family shared that the medical expenses that have accumulated from the multiple surgeries in which Ryder has had to go through are substantial and are asking for help in Ryder’s fight.
To help Ryder in his recovery journey, you can visit the family’s GoFundMe page or by simply sharing his story.
