Meter collector arrested for tampering with parking meters

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – A providence parking enforcement officer was arrested for snatching change out of parking meters.

64–year–old Frances Holt appeared in court on Wednesday.

A video was anonymously sent to police showing Holt tampering with a parking meter on Blackstone street last week.

It’s not clear exactly how much money was stolen or how long this has been going on.

Holt has been suspended while police investigate. Her case has been moved to Superior Court, and it is unknown at this time when she will appear in court again.
