Family seeks arrangement assistance for Maple Gardens resident who was killed by snowplow

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The family of the woman who was killed by a snow plow at Maple Gardens Apartment Complex is seeking assistance in returning their loved one to her home to Puerto Rico, where she will be laid to rest.
Vega-Rivera, 71, a resident of Maple Gardens, was hit and killed by a snow plow in the parking lot of her apartment complex on Jan. 16.
According to police, the driver of the plow, Lloyd Card, 30, was operating under a suspended license and unregistered vehicle.
Officials told ABC 6 News that Vega-Rivera suffered serious injuries and was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Diana Lopez, the daughter of Vega-Rivera, is asking for assistance through GoFundMe to return her mother to their homeland in Puerto Rico, where she can rest peacefully.
The family shared that donations can be made through the GoFundMe page.
