East Providence officers receive incentive for Washington Bridge detail
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The East Providence Police Department shared with ABC 6 News that they will be giving officers a $20 incentive for maintaining the Washington Bridge traffic fiasco.
Officials note that the incentive will not be funded by East Providence taxpayers, but rather fully funded by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT).
Police Captain Michael Rapoza shared that the pay increase was arranged to get closer to the emergency rate that most communities use.
