PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) — Students at Webster Avenue Elementary School lined the hallways and filled the auditorium Tuesday morning, as they gave a very warm welcome to special guest, Dont’a Hightower of the New England Patriots.

The two-time Super Bowl winning linebacker talked to kids about exercise and the importance of eating right.

Hightower also fielded some questions from students, like how he keeps his body NFL ready, and what he would be if he wasn’t a football player.

“It’s been great,” Hightower said. “I wasn’t expecting Abraham to hit me with a good one first question out!”

Hightower responded to the student’s question, by saying he would be a fire-fighter if he were not in the NFL.

After some Q&A, Hightower and his new friends headed outside, where they ran football drills, competed in different exercises, and played a blacktop favorite 4-square.

“I don’t get many opportunities to come out and see the kids and do fun stuff like that, so it’s been awesome, it’s been amazing,” the Patriots star said.

After an hour of fun with his new friends, and lots of pictures, Hightower presented the school with a donation of Spaghetti-O’s for lunch.
