BOSTON (WLNE) — According to WCVB, a man was stuck and killed by a Commuter Rail train at the Hyde Park Train Station.

MBTA Transit Police Supt. Richard Sullivan shared with WCVB that around 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, a man carrying a suitcase was crossing tracks when he was hit and killed by a train.

Sullivan said that the man was attempting to climb over a fence that separates the tracks and later died from his injuries.

WCVB shared that transit police are investigating the incident and that foul play was ruled out.

The investigation is impacting the functionality of the Franklin-Foxborough and Providence-Stoughton lines, officials shared.

Passengers of those affected lines are advised to use the Fairmount Line, but trains will not be stopping at Back Bay, Ruggles, Forest Hills or Hyde Park. Officials said that the Orange Line is another alternative for riders.
