Two hospitalized after Woonsocket house fire

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Officials say two people have been taken to the hospital after a fire at a Woonsocket home Wednesday evening.

Deputy Fire Chief Christopher Oakland says one person was inside the house on Washington Street when the department arrived on-scene.

Oakland said crews were able to remove the man from the home and contain the fire to one room.

Both victims were taken to Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket to be evaluated.
