Dartmouth police undercover sting operation leads to seven arrests

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Dartmouth Police Department Investigative Services Division in tandem with the Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victims Unit conducted an undercover sting operation to counter commercial sexual exploitation and prostitution.
Undercover detectives worked Thursday to arrange to meet with suspects at local hotels and motels through an online ad.
Seven men were arrested and charged with sexual conduct for a fee in the operation.
“This operation was the direct result of our commitment to combating the ongoing issues that we are experiencing at our local hotels and motels,” said Dartmouth Chief of Police, Brian P. Levesque.
