Providence police say 17-year-old killed in shooting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department confirmed that a 17-year-old male was the victim in a late-night homicide.

Spokesperson Lindsay Lague said the victim was Emil Rodriguez.

The killing occurred on Legion Memorial Drive, and the body was found at the entrance of Neutaconkanut Park.

The department added that it is still investigating and has not yet made any arrests.
