19-year-old arrested after report of shots fired in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – A 19-year-old Providence man was arrested today on a firearms charge after police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Potters Ave early this morning.
Providence Police initially responded to a report around 2 a.m. regarding three gunshots being fired, and a car accelerating in the direction of Cranston Street.
Upon arrival, police say two 19-year-old men from Providence were standing outside of a white Jeep Grand Cherokee. Both subjects were frisked and released.
Just moments later, officers received a tip that the same white Jeep Grand Cherokee, contained a firearm.
Police followed the Jeep to the 7-Eleven on Cranston Street where they were able to search the vehicle, finding a stolen silver revolver hidden within misaligned paneling in the center console.
Jhora Roman was taken into custody and charged with possession of a stolen firearm.
