Cranston police release updated photos of man who grabbed teenaged girl
CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Earlier this week, the Cranston Police Department asked for assistance in finding a man who accosted a teenage girl. The department released updated surveillance photos.

UPDATED PHOTOS. On Friday 2/2/2024 at approximately 7:48am, a female high school student was walking south on Gansett Avenue. A male subject coming from the Bain Track approached and made comments to her in Spanish. When she went to walk away, he grabbed her by the arm. She broke free and approached a crossing guard and reported the incident. The male walked between businesses across the street and ran into the neighborhood. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5’6-5’7, medium complexion who was wearing a tan jacket, blue sweat pants with white stripes on the side and black sneakers. Patrols have been increased in the area and detectives are actively investigating. If anyone recognizes this suspect, please contact the Cranston Police Department by calling 942-2211.
