A taste of spring

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — We have had a week of really nice Winter weather so far, and the second half of the week includes a taste of Spring.

Thursday is going to be simply a lovely day with sunshine all day and temperatures five degrees warmer than average.

Friday brings in a few clouds and even milder temperatures closer to 50.

Saturday is when the heat peaks with highs near 60! For reference, the record high for Saturday is 64 from last year.

The sky Saturday looks to be a blend of sun and clouds but dry.

Clouds build in Friday night and there will be a chance of showers as a cold front comes through.

Sunday will be cooler but still pleasant with a lot of sunshine and highs in the lower 50s.

Our next item of concern is Monday night into Tuesday.

We are getting signals of the potential development of a coastal storm that could bring heavy rain, possibly snow, wind and coastal flooding.

We are watching this situation closely.
