Person in critical condition after being shot near Providence College

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A person is in critical condition after being shot near Providence College Thursday afternoon.

The Providence Police Department told ABC 6 News that the shooting took place near Pembroke Avenue and Chad Brown Street.

The shooting was the result of a chase that is still under investigation, with a car still being searched for.

Police added that the victim drove themselves to the hospital. He is currently in critical condition.
