Fall River Police investigating after man reportedly shot at during argument

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River police are investigating a report of shots fired in the city overnight.

The call came from the area of the Corky Row Club on Third Street.

According to Fall River police, a 45-year-old man from New Bedford was stopped by a Massachusetts State trooper in the Corky Row area of Fall River for erratic operation.

The driver told the trooper that he had gotten into a brief argument with an unknown male.

After the argument he reported a sound that heard similar to a gunshot and fled the area.

The driver was uninjured, but his vehicle did sustain damage consistent with a bullet hole.

The trooper who stopped the driver also heard the sound of a gunshot.

The case is being investigated by the Fall River Police Department Major Crimes Division.
