RI State Police bust Providence man on drug, firearm charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – A Providence man was arrested Friday with over 400 marijuana plants and 8 pounds of dried marijuana, as well as a loaded handgun in his possession.

Anthony Patti, 31, of Providence was arrested after a search warrant raid at his Steere Ave residence by members of the RI State Police High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force Friday.

Task Force members seized 444 marijuana plants, approximately 8 pounds of dried, smokable marijuana, 4 Adderall pills, and a loaded .22 caliber handgun with ammunition.

Patti faces the following charges:

  • Delivery/Possession with Intent to Deliver and Manufacture (Marijuana)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I, II, III (Adderall)
  • Possession of a Firearm While Committing a Controlled Substance Violation
  • Distributing a Controlled Substance Near a School
  • Manufacture/Possession/Delivery of More than 5 Kilos of Marijuana
  • Possession of a Firearm After Being Convicted of a Crime of Violence/Fugitive

Patti was arraigned at Sixth Division District Court where he was ordered held without bail pending further court action.
