Bright and brisk Valentine’s Day, a few more flakes later this week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Snow has ended across the area, with our final snow forecast from yesterday verifying nicely; 6-10″ fell across the majority of the area.

Icy conditions will be a concern tonight as roads are still slick and slushy from today’s wet snow. Take it slow out there, and get shoveling/salting done this evening.

Winds are still gusty out there, with power outages still ongoing – the majority confined to Cape Cod.

Dry and sunny conditions return Wednesday for Valentine’s Day, but it will feel quite cold.

There is a chance for light snow Thursday night as an Alberta Clipper passes by. A quick coating to an inch or two is possible.

After dry conditions on Friday, another day of light snow showers is possible Saturday as well.
