Providence lifts snow-emergency parking ban
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence lifted its citywide snow-emergency parking ban at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
Mayor Brett Smiley implemented the parking ban in advance of Tuesday’s winter storm to expedite cleanup efforts.
Officials remind property owners that they are responsible for shoveling their sidewalks to make foot traffic safer for residents in the city.
Authorities also note that trash and recycling pick-up will be on a one-day delay for the rest of the week.
A heartfelt thank you to all our dedicated employees who have worked tirelessly to clear our streets. Their efforts are greatly appreciated by the entire community. pic.twitter.com/1eByMWduqW
