Home confinement review scheduled for Coventry sexual assault suspect

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A Coventry man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a 2023 house party will have a proposed home confinement reviewed in court today.

Saheed Lawanson, 46, will appear in Kent County Superior Court Thursday, and could be released from custody and placed on house arrest.

Lawanson last appeared in court on February 2 for the first-degree sexual assault charge, and his bail was set at $50,000.
