Honoring the Station nightclub fire victims 21 years later

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Station nightclub fire that killed 100 people and injured 230 was 21 years ago today.

The site of the club was transformed into a memorial to the victims in 2017.

There will be no official memorial service Tuesday, but every year dozens of people come to the Station Fire Memorial on Cowesett Avenue to pay their respects.

The Rhode Island Foundation created a scholarship in support of the victims and children of survivors.
