Swansea attempted armed robbery suspect held without bail
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — One of two suspects in a brazen armed robbery attempt remains at large, and the other faced a judge in Providence Tuesday.
Giovany Fouyolle, 29, of Randolph, was in Providence District Court where he was ordered held without bail for his alleged involvement in the incident.
Fouyolle will be extradited to Massachusetts to face charges related to Monday’s robbery attempt.
Fouyolle and the other suspect allegedly demanded money from a courier at gunpoint near BayCoast Bank in Swansea just before 1 p.m.
The courier fired two shots at the suspects, who then fled the scene in a UHaul that was later found burned.
Fouyolle was later tracked down in Rhode Island in a Jeep the suspects allegedly drove off in after burning the UHaul.
