Where does Rhode Island rank for worst pothole problem?

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Potholes are just a fact of life in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.

They’re an every day annoyance in New Englanders’ daily commutes.

But just how bad are the pothole problems in Rhode Island and Massachusetts compared to the rest of the country?

According to USA Today, Rhode Island has the 12th most pothole-riddled roads in the nation while Massachusetts comes in 19th.

In the category of most potholes by city, Providence fares better than the state, coming in 34th in the nation.
