Breaking and entering suspect due in court for mental health screening

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A suspect accused of breaking and entering will face a judge Monday to determine if she can stand trial.

Melissa Bedford, 43, will be in court today for a mental health screening.

Bedford and 52-year-old Jose Capeles were arrested in December for allegedly breaking into Warwick Liquors and Bader Market, both located on the same street.

Property was damaged and lottery tickets were allegedly taken.
