Police investigating New Bedford shooting

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) – Police are investigating a shooting in New Bedford on Monday night.

Patrol units responded to the area of Austin Street and Cedar Street around 6 p.m. in response to a ShotSpotter activation, according to authorities.

Officials said a man drove himself to an area hospital with a non-life threatening injury following the incident.

ABC 6 News crews observed shattered glass and crime units at the intersection.
