SWANSEA, Mass. (WLNE) — The Bristol County District Attorney shared that a man previously thought to have been involved in an armed robbery at BayCoast bank last month, has been dismissed of his charges.

Giovany Fouyolle, 29, of Randolph was taken into custody following the BayCoast Bank robbery that happened last month.

Authorities say a courier was attempting to make a delivery to the bank’s drop box in the middle of the day when he was approached by two gunman demanding money.

After the courier resisted, the gunmen fired shots and fled in a U-Haul van that was found on fire a half-mile away from the scene.

Authorities said the suspects fled in a Jeep after fleeing the U-Haul.

Fouyolle was stopped by Seekonk police on I-195 West driving a car that resembled the description of the Jeep involved, which prompted officers to make the arrest.

Fouyolle’s defense attorney said that the suspect was at a casino in another state during the time of the events.

After evidence was gathered, Fouyolle was dismissed of his charges.
