Second whale found deceased in Narragansett

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) — A second deceased whale was found in the Narragansett area this morning, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management shared.

A pilot whale was washed up onto Moonstone Beach.

DEM shared that the carcass is in good shape and will be buried next week, depending on the tide schedule.

DEM said they believe there is no connection to the fin whale that died overnight in South Kingstown.
