Eight people displaced by structure fire in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Red Cross said it is helping eight people after a fire at a multi-family home.

The Providence Canteen said that it responded to a structure fire on Plainfield Street Saturday morning.

Photos posted by the canteen showed smoke coming from a three story home as Providence firefighters responded.

Firefighters could also be seen on the roof of the structure.
