Man arrested for domestic violence after police chase, flipping car in Lincoln

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Lincoln Police Department arrested a Pawtucket man after he led police on a chase and flipped his car after a domestic assault incident.

36-year-old Eric Tipple was charged with eluding a law enforcement officer, domestic violence disorderly conduct, weapons other than firearms prohibited, resisting arrest, and obstruction of a police officer.

Police received a report of a disturbance coming from a vehicle in the breakdown lane of Route 99 South around 11 a.m. Sunday.

The victim of the incident was reportedly dropped off on the side of the road, and police attempted to pursue the car, which rolled over as it took the Sayles Hill Road exit and caught fire.
