North Dighton classified document leaker expected in court Monday

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — A 22-year-old Air National Guardsman is expected to plead guilty in Boston federal court Monday.

Jack Teixeira of North Dighton is charged with leaking highly classified military documents on social media.

This included documents about Russia’s war in Ukraine and other national security secrets.

According to papers filed last week, Teixeira previously pleaded not guilty to six counts of willful retention and transmission of national defense information after releasing classified information on the instant messaging platform Discord.

Teixeira was arrested in April of 2023 and has been in custody since then.
