Military projectile pulled from Charles River

NEEDHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — A magnet fisher working the Charles River pulled a long-sunk military projectile from the river Friday.

The Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad responded to Kendrick Street in Needham on March 1 to secure the military ordinance.

The object was transported to a disposal site where it was countercharged without incident.
