Massachusetts voters out in force for Super Tuesday
SEEKONK, Mass (WLNE) — Voters eager to cast their ballots on Super Tuesday have arrived at Seekonk High School this morning.
As of 3:30 p.m. Monday, it was reported by the state of Massachusetts that 11,953 voters were registered to vote in Seekonk, and of them, 1,563 were mailed ballots.
Super Tuesday elections are happening in 16 states and one territory, and the states in New England voting today are Massachusetts, Maine and Vermont.
Hundreds of delegates are at stake, the biggest haul for either party on any single day.
Tuesday’s results could decide the outcome of the who wins the Republican nomination, but that decision will not be made today.
The earliest either party will know their nominee is March 12 for Trump and March 19 for Biden.
The polls are open until 8 p.m. and it’s important to note that any voter in line after polls close will still be allowed to vote.
