Police investigating Central Falls shooting

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) — Central Falls police responded to multiple calls of shots fired on Wednesday in the area of 122 Lincoln Avenue.

A shell casing was found in the roadway by officers upon their arrival to the scene, as well as information of a car leaving the scene.

Providence police notified Central Falls dispatch that a 24-year-old male had arrived at Miriam Hospital with a gunshot wound.

He stated that he was shot on Lincoln Avenue and was driven to Miriam by friends.

He was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the Central Falls police detective bureau.
