Police capture fugitive wanted in Worcester double-killing
WORCESTER, Mass. (WLNE) — Police captured a fugitive wanted for the double-killing of a mother and daughter in Worcester.
Massachusetts State Police said 27-year-old Dejan Belnavis was taken into custody in San Diego, California.
Belnavis was wanted in the homicide of Chasity Nuñez and her 11-year-old daughter Zella on March 3, according to officials.
Police said two suspects shot the victims in their parked car in a Worcester neighborhood.
One suspect, 28-year-old Karel Mangual, was arrested on March 6 and charged in connection with the incident.
Belnavis was considered to be armed and dangerous prior to his capture.
Police announced a reward of up to $5,000 for anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts.
