Truck in Lakeville rolls into pond

LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WLNE) — The Lakeville Fire Department said that a truck rolled into Great Quittacas Pond on March 12.

The accident occurred around 7 p.m. when the vehicle rolled and came to rest on its side in three feet of water.

Police officers were able to free the driver by breaking a window, which resulted in two officers being treated for minor cuts.

The driver was transported to St. Lukes Hospital with injuries that the department said did not appear to be serious.

Firefighters also assisted with removing the truck from the water.
